Advocacy
- The French financiers have now declined to fund the Tana sugar project, citing concerns by local people, civil society and now the court case.
- Emails to NEMA, from different corners of the world, protesting against the sugarcane project have started trickling in.
- BirdLife campaign: BirdLife South Africa has put up a brief on Tana in their website

- The Kenya National Human Rights Commission (KNHRC) has joined the campaign against the Tana sugar project, on matters related to the violation of human rights.

The Tana Delta local community, both farmers and pastoralists converged at the Danisa grounds for a prayer meeting. They prayed for their land not to be taken away from them.
