9th September 2008
Nation TV news at 9.00 p.m. ran a story about the Tana River having changed its course. The River has gone back to its original course, presumably due to recent flooding. The resultant water shortage is already affecting many local residents and institutions such as schools and hospitals. We do not as yet know how this will affect the sugar project but it does show that the delta is a dynamic system that needs to be conserved.
